Please carefully read the Visiting Canada section of our website and the instruction guide provided below before you complete the application forms. The fee for processing your application is not refundable, so make sure you are eligible to get a Temporary Resident Visa before you apply. Please note that submitting a completed application and necessary supporting documents does not guarantee that you will receive a visa.

Important: This checklist includes all details of required supporting documents necessary to complete your application.
Complete the application. Your family members who also wish to visit Canada must apply by filling out their own Temporary Resident Visa application form. However, you may send all family member application forms in the same envelope with only one payment receipt for the total amount.
If there is an emergency and you need to travel to Canada immediately, you can request an urgent processing for your application by adding this Emergency Processing Request Form to the top of your application package.
Please note that your request for urgent processing will only be considered in exceptional circumstances. Not planning well in advance the processing of your application is NOT an exceptional circumstance that deserves urgent processing.
A request for urgent processing will only be considered if there is an unexpected situation such as the illness or death of a family member, circumstances in which the departure date cannot be planned ahead. Include any pertinent document to support your urgent need. We will do our best to quickly process your application; however, we cannot guarantee a visa will be issued in time.
