Visas and Immigration
Effective March 31, 2015, all visa and immigration content on this website will move to the Immigration section of the new Canada.ca website. This includes country-specific information, checklists, forms and guides.
Please note: These changes do not affect the way visa and immigration sections at Canadian embassies process applications.
Two new Visa Application Centres (VACs) opened in the following locations:
- Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) on March 19, 2015;
- Muscat, Oman on March 17, 2015
All temporary resident applications (visitor visa, study or work permit) may be submitted either online or through the VACs in the UAE, Oman, Kuwait or Qatar. Permanent resident travel document applications must be submitted through the VACs in the UAE, Oman, Kuwait or Qatar.
