We have received a number of queries related to the refund of fees for applicants who have had their applications refused or who were found not eligible for further processing.
Unfortunately, the number of refunds that we have had to process is greater than the resources that we have available, and there have been some significant delays.
We remind applicants that all fees which were initially paid to the Centralized Intake Office in Sydney, Nova Scotia will be refunded by that office and not by London. Our office will only refund fees which were made to our office or to another overseas office. In most cases, these fees were for the addition of a dependent or for the payment of the Right of Permanent Residence Fee.
We hope to make these refunds by direct deposit, and for this purpose we will require details of the account to which the refund should be sent. Please note that the refund must be sent to your account and not to one belonging to a third party. If you have not already received and completed the form for this purpose, please send a message to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will send you a copy of the form which you may complete and return to us.
