Canada welcomes the world to Vancouver – 100-day countdown celebration to the 2010 Winter Games
Washington, DC - In celebration of the 100-day countdown to the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, the Embassy of Canada in Washington, DC, in partnership with Omega and the Canadian Tourism Commission (CTC), are welcoming the world to Vancouver. As the official timekeepers of the Olympics, Omega will join Canadian Ambassador Gary Doer in unveiling a countdown clock on Pennsylvania Avenue. Other highlights will include appearances by the three official Vancouver 2010 Olympic mascots, a draw for a trip to Canada, and a live musical performance by Canada’s own pop rock sensation Fefe Dobson. Fefe’s debut album earned her two Juno and three MuchMusic Video Award nominations, and her song “I Want You” is currently featured in trailers for Drew Barrymore’s directorial debut "Whip It".
