Please note that this office (visa section of the Canadian Embassy in Washington, D.C.) only processes temporary resident visa applications submitted with correspondence addressed to the Canadian Embassy from embassies, the United States government or international intergovernmental organizations headquartered in Washington, D.C., requesting processing and stating the purpose of entry, e.g. tourism, official, business travel or assignment to Canada.

All other applications must be submitted through the Visa and Immigration sections in Los Angeles or New York.

If you have submitted an application online, you cannot obtain a visa in your passport at this office.
