Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Liaison Section
Role
The RCMP Liaison Officer represents the interest of the International Operations Branch (IOB) of the RCMP in the Republic of South Africa and the 19 other countries to which he is accredited to.
He provides support and assistance to Canadian Law enforcement agencies in the prevention and detection of offences to Canadian federal laws, liaises with foreign law enforcement agencies and related institutions, and coordinates the activities related to Interpol. He reports to RCMP Headquarters in Ottawa on matters pertaining to Canadian national security and organized crime issues.
