Information about the Federal Election on October 21, 2019 for Canadians living in Belgium or Luxembourg

A federal election will be held on Monday, October 21st, 2019

Register now! Apply as soon as possible, to allow time for your special ballot voting kit to reach you and for your marked ballot to reach Elections Canada by Election Day.

NOTE: Persons who are already listed in the Elections Canada International Register of Electors will have received a special ballot voting kit in the mail, unless further information is required regarding their status.

The complete list of confirmed candidates will be available on Thursday, October 3rd.

Electors can return their ballot to Elections Canada in Ottawa two ways:

  1. Via the Embassy in Brussels
    The Embassy in Brussels will collect all special voting ballots and will courier them to Elections Canada. Deadline to submit your Voting Ballots at the Embassy in Brussels is Tuesday, October 15th

    Note: the Embassy will not accept any Voting Ballots after October 15th.
    After this date it will be your responsibility to return your marked ballot on time to Elections Canada office in Ottawa.
  2. By mail or courier
    Submit the completed voting ballots to:

    Note: The deadline is 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time on Monday Election Day, October 21st.
