The Embassy in Addis Ababa provides the following services to Australian citizens.

• registration of Australian citizens
• assistance in sending citizenship and passport applications to Nairobi
• assistance in the event of arrest or detention
• financial assistance or repatriation
• assistance in the event of illness or hospitalization
• issuing of Australian travel (identification) documents in emergencies
• assistance regarding the loss or theft of personal property and effects
• assistance with funeral arrangements
