Coronavirus disease (COVID-19): Canadian citizens in France

The Embassy still provides consular services to Canadian citizens in France. However, following the French authorities’ announcements and recommendations, passport and citizenship requests will only be received by postal mail until further notice. In-person meetings for passport and citizenship services are cancelled. In-person meetings are maintained for Canadian citizens in emergency situations. We ask that they describe their emergency by phone or email beforehand.

For information on COVID-19, please visit the Government of Canada's official outbreak page, check our Travel Advice and Advisories and read our FAQ. Make sure to register with the Registration of Canadians Abroad to get the latest updates at your destination. The decision to travel is your choice and you are responsible for your personal safety abroad.

You are under the jurisdiction of local health authorities while abroad. A quarantine can be imposed on you. Health Services may be very limited.
