- requiring urgent assistance. Contact the Emergency Watch and Response Centre in Ottawa, by calling collect at 613-996-8885 or by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada advises to avoid all travel to Iran.
Canadians who have Iranian nationality are warned that the Iranian regime does not recognize the principle of dual nationality. Iran makes it virtually impossible for Government of Canada officials to provide consular assistance to Iranian-Canadians .
Canada calls upon the families, friends, employers and co-workers of Canadians living, studying or travelling in Iran to provide them with this important information on the Emergency Watch and Response Centre and the consular services available to them.
