The Embassy of Canada is pleased to announce the winners of the Canada-Italy Innovation Award 2019. The Award, whose aim is to strengthen the ties between the two countries in the fields of Science, Technology and Innovation, has continued to experience a marked success in its seventh year, both due to the significant number of applications received and to their high quality. The Embassy thanks all the participants for their interest in Canada and hopes that collaboration initiatives between the two countries continue to flourish.

The winners of the Canada-Italy Innovation Award 2019 are:

Maria Antonietta Esposito of the University of Florence for a project with the l’École de Technologie Supérieure of Montréal, QC, in the priority area New ways of learning;

Jacopo Zenzeri of the Italian Institute of Technology of Genoa for a project with the Brock University of St. Catharines, ON, in the priority area Emerging Technologies;

Carla Canullo of the University of Macerata for a project with the Université de Montréal, QC, in the priority area New ways of learning;

Giovanni Acampora of the University of Naples Federico II for a project with the University of Waterloo, ON, in the priority area Emerging Technologies;

Paola Di Giulio of the University of Turin for a project with the Ryerson University of Toronto, ON, in the priority area Diversity and Inclusion.
