Invitation to Canadian virtual FinTech mission to Japan

The global financial services industry is experiencing tremendous transformation by the adoption of FinTech solutions to:

  • reduce costs
  • comply with new regulations
  • improve risk management
  • enhance security
  • generate new revenue streams
  • offer new services to their clients

Canada’s FinTech ecosystem, comprising of more than 800 companies, has successfully contributed to this transformation; especially in the subsectors of international money transfer, customer experience (CE), Blockchain, InsurTech and RegTech.

This program is organized by the Embassy of Canada in Japan.

Objective

Present Canada’s FinTech capabilities and promote business partnerships between Canada and Japan.

  • Overview by TFI of how Canadian FinTech capabilities are bringing innovation to the financial services industry in North America
  • Presentations by 10 Canadian FinTech companies keen to work with partners in Japan. Each company will present its unique capabilities while explaining its role in the FinTech revolution taking place in North America. The 10 presenting companies are:

Between January 27 and January 29, interested parties in Japan can have virtual one‑on‑one business‑to‑business meetings with any of the 10 Canadian companies to discuss possible business collaboration.

To participate, interested Japanese parties are requested to send an e-mail to Kojiro Ichikawa, Trade Commissioner, Commercial Division, Embassy of Canada in Japan, with the following information:

  • “Application for Canada FinTech Program” in the subject line
  • first name and surname
  • title and business section
  • company name
  • email address

The Embassy of Canada in Japan will then provide a link to the program’s dedicated website to pre-register.
