ILOT Award (International Leader of Tomorrow)

The University of British Columbia announces call for applications for ILOT  (International Leader of Tomorrow) Award. The award recognizes outstanding secondary school international students who have demonstrated exceptional academic ability and leadership potential, and who would be unable to attend UBC without financial support.  

To be eligible for the ILOT Award, nominees must:

  • be entering a UBC undergraduate degree program at either UBC Vancouver or UBC Okanagan from a recognized secondary school, or transferring from a college or university;
  • be admissible to the program they are applying to, including meeting UBC's English Language Admission Standard (visit https://you.ubc.ca for detailed admissions information);
  • have an excellent academic record (at least an "A" average or equivalent standard);
  • be nominated by the high school they are currently attending or have recently graduated from, or the college/university they are transferring from;
  • be an international student, who is neither a Canadian citizen nor a permanent resident of Canada, and who will be studying in Canada on a Canadian Study Permit (visa);
  • demonstrate financial need.
