**Please do not phone or e-mail the Canadian Embassy regarding visa matters unless strictly necessary. Our Visa Section staff will be devoted to processing applications and may be unable to answer your enquiries. Staff in other sections of the Embassy is not able to assist in visa matters.**

Hours of Operation

Monday - Friday: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm with the exception of the sections listed below.

Assistance to Canadians (Consular Section):

Passport, citizenship and notarial services are offered by appointment only. (temporarily suspended)

Only Canadian citizens in distress will be able to access our consular services from Monday to Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. and between 2:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. (see note below)

** Until further notice, Consular points of service in Mexico remain closed to the public and continue to offer only essential consular services: urgent passport services, emergency medical/welfare concerns and COVID-19 related services.

Notarial services, citizenship and regular passport applications continue to be suspended.

Consular assistance and support is still provided through email exchanges or by phone.

Canadians in distress should call at 55-5724-7900 ext. 379-3348 or send an email to before presenting themselves at any of the offices across Mexico. Please leave a message, we will call you back. If the office is closed, your call will be automatically transferred to the Emergency Watch and Response Centre in Ottawa.
