Visas
Romania is not member of the Schengen area.
Canadian citizens do not require a visa for stays up to 90 days per six-month period.
Canadians must present a passport which must be valid for at least three months beyond the date of expected departure from that country. Prior to travelling, ask your transportation company about its requirements related to passport validity, which may be more stringent than the country's entry rules.
If you intend to stay for a period of over 3 months, you should contact the Romanian General Inspectorate for Immigration as either self-employed, employee, self-supported, or as a student.
