“On behalf of all Canadians, I extend my condolences to those who have lost friends and family members as a result of the fire in Khobar, Saudi Arabia.
“Canadian citizens currently in Saudi Arabia requiring emergency consular assistance should contact the Embassy of Canada in Riyadh by calling +966 (11) 488-2288, or call collect to the 24/7 Emergency Watch and Response Centre of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada at 613-996-8885. An email can also be sent to sos@international.gc.ca.
“Canadian consular officials are in contact with local authorities to gather additional information and are providing assistance to those affected and their families during this difficult time.”
