Potential data breach - Thailand vaccination registration website

The Government of Canada was made aware of a potential data breach that took place on a Thai government platform (www.Thailandintervac.com) in June, 2021.

Canadian citizens who used the Thai platform to register for a COVID-19 vaccination on June 13, 2021 may have been affected, and may have had the personal information they entered on the website, such as their name or passport number, breached.

If you have any concerns about your personal data, you should contact the Thai Ministry of Public Health.

You may continue to use your valid Canadian passport, as Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), the government department responsible for Canada’s passport program determined that it is very unlikely that the potential data breach could lead to passport fraud as the passports remain in the possession of the Canadian holders.
