Coronavirus disease (COVID-19)

Due to ongoing concerns related to the spread of COVID-19, preventative measures have been enacted throughout our global network of offices. Consular services remain available to Canadians. Many Government of Canada offices are encouraging clients to limit in-person visits. Canadians in need of assistance should contact the Government of Canada office nearest them by phone or e-mail before visiting in person. Scammers are impersonating Embassy of Canada and Consulate General official email addresses.
Disregard emails claiming to be sent by the Embassy/Consulate with different sender information/email address.

All Canadian missions overseas and all Canadian government departments have website addresses that contain “”.

If you receive a false or misleading message that appears to be from the embassy or consulate and the information does not match what is provided on our official website, contact the embassy or consulate to verify whether the message is legitimate.
