Processing time

Due to the current COVID-19 situation, we have a very reduced on-site presence. We are diligently processing applications and the processing time for a passport is currently at least 8 weeks.

Lost, stolen, inaccessible, damaged or found passport

Documentation needed to enter Canada

In addition to a valid passport, there are other entry requirements to Canada.

Canadian citizens must possess a valid Canadian passport in order to enter or transit through Canada, even if they have a valid passport issued from another country. Flying in a few days or at the airport without a Canadian passport? Find out if you are eligible for a special authorization.

Visa-exempt foreign nationals need an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) to fly to or transit through Canada. Apply for an eTA.
